4th of July

We spent 4th of July weekend at the Desert Ridge Resort. The place was busy. Sophie ran into a friend from school and I saw 2 people I knew.
The Resort had a weekend of kids activities that Sophie and Chase participated in. The theme was Sponge Bob/Nickelodeon. We arrived early on Friday for swimming, watched fireworks at night and laid by the pool all day Saturday. It was fabulous and only 20 minutes away.

Floating down the lazy river.




The kids loved playing with the floating toys. They are both taking swim lessons and are doing very well. Sophie can almost swim alone, she is in level 2. Chase is doing very well in his preschool class. He has come along way from being afraid of taking baths. He does cannon balls into the pool, swims to the side and monkey crawls on the edge.






Chase w/ Madison. They were born 2 weeks apart. When I got home and saw this picture I thought either Madison is really small or Chase is gigantic. Turns out it's a little of both. I measured Chase and he is 40 inches. He's grown 2.5 inches since January. No wonder I had to replace all of his 3t with 4t pants and 5t shirts. He's catching up fast to Sophie in shoe size.
